Animal Control

Annual Dog Licenses

Township Ordinances require that all dog owners purchase a license for their dogs annually (January 1-December 31).

Dog licenses are available by mail or in person on the 2nd Tuesday of the month at 7:00 p.m. unless otherwise noted.

Mail in applications are available here. Proof of rabies must be presented (rabies vaccination must be valid through October 31st of the current year) .

Fees: $5.00 spayed/neutered or $8.00 non-spayed/neutered.

Free County Rabies Clinic

FREE RABIES CLINIC – Hopewell Township will be hosting the County Health Department on Saturday, February 20th from 9:00 am – 11:00 am. Residents need to register for the clinic by calling (856)327-7081 or at the CCHD website at www.ccdoh.org

Bridgeton will be hosting the County Health Department on Saturday, March 20th from 12:00 pm – 3:00 pm. Residents need to register for the clinic by calling (856)327-7081 or at the CCHD website at www.ccdoh.org

The Cumberland County Health Department offers free rabies clinics where vaccinations against the virus will be offered to pet owners throughout the county.

County residents may go to any clinic scheduled and are not required to live in the township in which the clinic is held.

Greenwich Township has contracted with a private service for Animal Control. If you have an animal control problem, contact any member of the Township Committee.
