Frequently Asked Questions

How do you pronounce Greenwich?
Green - witch, not Gren - itch
Once you look around the Township, you will start to see many little reminders of the pronunciation of our town name.

Where can I find a public restroom?
If you are visiting during one of the Township's major events, there will be several
public buildings with facilities that are open and event volunteers can direct you
to a location.

Greenwich is a small town of approximately 800 residents. Most of our public buildings and businesses, including the restaurant and general store, are open on a seasonal or part-time basis only. Check the Links of Interest page for area businesses and hours of operation. Bridgeton, the County seat for Cumberland County, is 7 miles east of Greenwich at the opposite end of the Greenwich-Bridgeton Road. Bridgeton offers numerous public buildings, the Cohanzick Zoo, two libraries, restaurants, stores and other sites with public restrooms.

We're working on it... Sustainable Greenwich and the Greenwich Environmental Commission are exploring ways to create a public restroom that will be available for the convenience of all.
